The other day Iswirl posted a very interesting question: “Believing in Marriage is like believing in Santa Clause”…truth or lie? That question is sure to make some laugh and some a lil peeved. If you have spent anytime on I Date White or ISwirl I’m sure you have come to know just who Eathan is and what he’s about. If you don’t know, in a snap shot Eathan is a single Dad of two boys who enjoys the company of a woman. Whether it’s chatting on line or dancing at his favorite spot Eathan is a cool cat. And as much time as he talks about his dating life; you can also call him a serial dater. On another site, a female, Jae wrote in asking the question…How do I get men outside my race to commit to me. If you’re thinking what I was when I saw the title, I was like ok, what’s this really about. Well a young woman, who is mixed (black and white) doesn’t wish to date [...]

George Bush Cares About Black People

by JYD November 9, 2010

“George Bush doesn’t care about black people.”  Those were the words uttered by Kanye West and…directed at the former President George Bush.  Those seven words shocked the world.  They were uttered at a time when New Orleans was submerged under water.  The city and other parts of the coastal areas were in turmoil from Hurricane [...]

Can We Label And Still Be Politically Correct?

by JYD October 28, 2010

It’s a no brainer that I am in the Army and have served my country for over 20 years now.  I have been shot at, blown up, slept in swamps and done other things that the average American has no desire to do.  My job…is a “Man’s job.” In short, we close with and kill [...]

Are We Oversensitive to Bullying and Being Soft?

by JYD October 19, 2010

“Man, you are soft as drug store cotton!” or how about, “You as soft as a Q-tip.”  Those were a few of the insults we traded with each other as kids.  I have coached sports at the youth level for years and a lot has changed.  I recall when only the winners got trophies, now [...]

by JYD September 29, 2010

After four great days in NJ, I left after having breakfast with an old classmate.  As I drove back to KY and chatted with Staci, an old classmate of mine I realized that I didn’t have to be in a loveless marriage.  I made it back to Ft Knox around 1130pm and was laying down [...]

Ending My Marriage And Calling It Quits

by JYD September 22, 2010

Taking a page from Eathan, I have decided to share my on going battle with my ex wife to simply do the right thing. Some people talk the talk, but can you really walk the walk.  Two years ago I was in Korea.  I asked to go so that I would be untouched for my [...]
