I thought it was only fitting to write an article about a couple of perfumes that women love and men seem to be drawn to.  And of course it is just in time for the holiday season!  Perfumes always make a great gift if you can’t think of anything creative. Just make sure to try a tester before you buy it to make sure you like it!

I grew up in a mostly white suburb of Boston where diversity was not one of it’s selling points. Looking back I don’t remember any black kids in my public school which I attended through 3rd grade. I then was accepted to a great private school in a neighboring town and started there in 4th grade. Believe it or not, this, I think, was the first time I was really around black kids. Of course this was a smaller school but they pushed for a more diverse population and because you had to be accepted into this school they had more control over the actual make up of the kids.

When Not To Play The Race Card

by Jenni October 25, 2010

There has been a lot of race talk in the news lately and not from it’s likely sources.  In the past couple of weeks two well known athletes have made remarks regarding their race and how it is indeed a factor in their pay and and/or reception from fans.  It first started off with Albert [...]

My Step Daughter is Going to Swirl

by Jenni October 6, 2010

My 13 year old step daughter just started a new school.  She is in 8th grade,  but the 8th grade is in the high school.  Not to mention she is coming from an all white upper middle class elementary school to a 3,000 kid, diverse suburban school.  So her surroundings definitely have changed.  But the [...]

by Jenni September 21, 2010

After writing an article titled The War Between White Women and Black Women an interesting dialogue started with other people from all parts of the world and all walks of life.  As the dialogue progressed a lot of issues were raised.  Both sides of the discussion seemed to be hung up on this idea of [...]

by Jenni September 8, 2010

I like a wide variety of music but i really enjoy hip hop and R & B.  Most genres of music are about love, relationships and sex and hip hop/R & B are no different.  I recently got a new computer and I was uploading some of my music onto it.  I found a song [...]

by Jenni August 31, 2010

In Response to Eathan’s article about where to meet black men, I thought I would write up a quick little guide to where to meet white women.  A lot of the places Eathan named are great places to meet white women too, but I have a couple hidden gems to share.  However, I do want [...]

Dr. Laura isn’t Dr. Dre

by Jenni August 23, 2010

I listened to Dr. Laura’s conversation with Jade a couple of times.  I had a lot of mixed feelings about their exchange.  As Dr. Laura went on I feel like she got more offensive.  In the beginning I thought she was trying to understand Jades situation and trying to offer her own personal opinion. It [...]

The War Between Black Women and White Women

by Jenni August 17, 2010

I can’t tell you how many times I have heard that the white women are “taking the only good black men we have.”  It was like it was my fault that a black man with an education or an ambition was interested in me.  And trust me not every black guy that was interested in [...]

Everyone Thought I Only Date Black Men

by Jenni August 10, 2010

I am a white girl from the suburbs that dressed just like everyone else and didn’t think I stood out at all.  Well somehow I stood out but I didn’t stand out to everyone, just black men.  My first 2 serious relationships in high school were both with black men.  And for some reason everyone [...]

Racism At Church – Guest Post

by Jenni August 3, 2010

I went to college in Upstate New York at Syracuse University.  It was a huge diverse student population in a city with a large minority population.  Neither of which bothered me.  I am a half Italian and half Portuguese girl that never felt different or threatened by different types of people.  While in school I [...]
