We ended up at The Elbow Room on Gaston Ave. By this time it was 1230am and I just wanted to have another beer. Well once we arrived, the evening took a turn for the wild. AD33 and the Stray began to do shots. And like most tipsy women, they began to talk about sex. I wasn’t listening closely to their conversation; because I was talking with other friends at the bar. The parts that I heard made my ears perk up. The Stray was complaining about the lack of intimacy in her marriage and the other things that most married women complain about. And that’s when she told us that she got married to him because “he would make a great father“.
I’ve heard a lot of reasons why people get married, but that I don’t think I’ve heard that one before. ”He would make a great father?”, i asked. She confirmed that was her reason. ”Are you in love with him?”, I inquired. She said, “I love him, but not in love with him”. At this point I was sucked into the conversation. But that wasn’t the end.. It was only the beginning, as you will find out when in part 2 tomorrow.
